VERIFIED PROGRAM DESIGNATION DAY
Employers and community partners are invited to join in the selection of Verified Programs on November 15, 2023 at UC San Diego Park & Market. San Diego companies that hire computing and engineering talent will have the opportunity to learn about education and training programs preparing the next generation of talent, provide feedback, and determine which are meeting the qualifications to become a Verified Program of Computing and/or Engineering talent. Along with presentations from participating training programs, we will hear from San Diego leaders in workforce development, education, and DEI.

What is a Verified Program?
Verified Programs are education providers recognized by employers as delivering the top-quality training for high-demand jobs across San Diego County. Employers grade program performance in five key areas:
- Curriculum’s coverage of technical skills needed in entry-level roles.
- Efforts to develop critical employability skills in students
- Level of ongoing engagement with industry.
- Proven diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
- A history of collaboration with industry, local community based organizations, and/or the Advancing San Diego program.
