Discover the heart and soul of “Sol y sombra: Immigrant Experiences in California” exhibit at our special art reception on September 21 from 4 to 6 p.m., with a presentation by Dr. Scott Dale at 5:30 p.m. Join artist Julia San Román as she shares the inspiration behind her captivating series “The Hours,” which celebrates the resilience of immigrant workers. The “Sol y sombra” (or Sun and Shade) exhibit runs from September 18 through November 30.
During the reception, you’ll have the chance to engage with Julia through an artist talk and gain deeper insights into her creative process. Plus, don’t miss an immersive video presentation that brings the exhibition’s stories to life.
Let’s come together to appreciate the contributions of immigrants to California’s vibrant community. Those who register before September 21 will get two (2) complimentary drink tickets.
