Hope, Knowledge and Empowerment Converge at Park & Market with the UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center Prostate Cancer Patient Summit

Prostate cancer affects millions of lives each year, but knowledge and support can transform challenges into opportunities for hope and healing. On Saturday, February 1, 2025, UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center invites patients, caregivers, and advocates to gather for the Prostate Cancer Patient Summit, a dynamic event at the state-of-the-art UC San Diego Park & Market venue in downtown San Diego.

Designed to inform, connect, and empower, the summit will feature expert-led sessions, personal stories, and collaborative workshops aimed at equipping attendees with the tools and insights needed to navigate the prostate cancer journey. Whether you’re a patient, caregiver, or part of the broader advocacy community, this summit offers a unique opportunity to share experiences, gain knowledge, and contribute to a brighter future for all affected by prostate cancer.

Event Overview

The Patient Summit on Saturday, February 1, takes place from 8 AM to 4:35 PM, presenting a comprehensive agenda covering various facets of prostate cancer care, including:

  • Empowering Choices in Cancer Survivorship: Sessions on nutrition, exercise, and wellness, featuring expert insights and patient success stories.
  • Leveraging Smart Tools Against Prostate Cancer: Discussions on advanced imaging techniques and personalized care through biomarkers.
  • Tailoring Interventions: Exploration of active surveillance, surgical approaches, and pioneering radiation techniques.
  • Revolutionary Approaches to Advanced Prostate Cancer: Insights into emerging therapies, genetic profiling, and clinical trial participation.
  • Empowered Living: Resources for survivors, addressing topics like androgen deprivation therapy, sexual and urinary wellness, and navigating support systems.
John Elway

Special Guest: John Elway Jr.

A true legend both on and off the field, John Elway Jr., Hall of Fame quarterback and prostate cancer survivor, will share his inspiring story in a fireside chat during the summit. Attendees will gain valuable insights into his personal journey with prostate cancer, from early detection to treatment and recovery. 

Elway’s story of resilience and determination is sure to inspire hope and motivate others to take charge of their health. Don’t miss this special moment during the Patient Summit on Saturday, February 1.

Registration and Additional Information

Registration for the summit is complimentary, and breakfast, snacks, and lunch will be provided. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with peers and experts and gain access to tools and resources aimed at improving the lives of those affected by prostate cancer.
