UC San Diego Park & Market was pleased to welcome the second conference of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Alumni Association of Southern California on Saturday, September 14, 2024.
Advancing the theme, “AI & Us!: Today, Tomorrow and Beyond,” the occasion brought together more than 200 attendees and speakers representing business and technical leaders from across Southern California to explore the latest applications, the state of generative AI, and best practices shaping the future of artificial intelligence.
As a space designed for the intersection of people, ideas, art, and innovation, Park & Market was a fitting venue for this dynamic event, which had the overriding goal of fostering innovation, collaboration, and cross-disciplinary learning and partnership.
Participants from tech enterprises, AI startups, investment agencies, government organizations, and media explored Park & Market’s soaring interiors and state-of-the-art meeting rooms as they networked and attended sessions. The event’s bleeding-edge panels and forward-thinking discussions featured trailblazing thought leaders, including UC San Diego Chancellor Pradeep K. Khosla, Qualcomm’s Durga Malladi, Mayo Clinic’s Maneesh Goyal, and White House Advisor Randi Levin.
In an era where technology evolves at lightning speed, the IIT Alumni Association of Southern California leveraged its conference at Park & Market to close gaps between theory and practice, design and development, and innovation and application.
