AIA San Diego (The American Institute of Architects San Diego Chapter)
The American Institute of Architects, San Diego represents nearly 1,000 members in San Diego County and is one of more than 20 chapters in California and among nearly 275 nationwide. Founded in 1928, AIA SD has a long record of achievement supporting the interests of our members and our community through its vigorous advocacy for design, planning, sustainability, architecture education, professional development, and civic leadership.
Burnham Center (BCCA)
The Burnham Center for Community Advancement is a think-and-do tank that helps make the San Diego binational region a better place to live, work and play for all. It serves as a nexus point where community stakeholders and multi-sector partners come together to identify regional needs, find innovative solutions and tackle some of our most pressing issues.
Center for Technical and Higher Studies (CETYS)
The Center for Technical and Higher Studies (CETYS University) is a private institution of educational excellence, founded in 1961 in Baja California, Mexico under the auspices of a group of visionary entrepreneurs committed to education. CETYS’s mission is to contribute to the formation of people with the necessary moral and intellectual capacity to participate in a significant way in the economic, social and cultural improvement of the country.
CONNECT
Connect San Diego is a San Diego community nonprofit that elevates entrepreneurs by providing educational programming, mentorship, introductions, and access to capital. Connect helps innovative companies thrive so they can make a meaningful impact in the development of the San Diego region.
Digital Gym Cinema
The Digital Gym Cinema, San Diego’s one-of-a-kind movie theater showcasing the best in independent and foreign cinema, is owned and operated by the Media Arts Center San Diego, a non-profit organization committed to providing filmmaking tools and media education to under-resourced communities in an effort to create social change.
National Conflict Resolution Center (NCRC)
NCRC provides the resources, training, and expertise to help people, organizations, and communities manage and solve conflicts, with civility. Built on the principle that every dispute has a solution, the National Conflict Resolution Center (NCRC) serves a variety of communities in both the public and private sectors — regionally, nationally, and internationally.
Qualcomm Institute
The Qualcomm Institute is the UC San Diego division of the California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology (Calit2), one of four Gray Davis Institutes for Science and Innovation located on University of California campuses. The institute’s strategic vision stresses collaborative, interdisciplinary research in four core areas to benefit society: culture, energy, the environment, and health.
San Diego Black Chamber of Commerce (SDBCC)
The County of San Diego Black Chamber of Commerce utilizes innovative programs, networking opportunities, and business partnerships to advance and strengthen Inclusive Economic Development throughout the City and County of San Diego. SDBCC’s mission is to create generational wealth through business enterprise, education, employment, and investing.
San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation (EDC)
San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation – EDC for short – is an independently-funded economic development organization that mobilizes business, government, and civic leaders around an inclusive economic development strategy in order to connect data to decision making, maximize regional prosperity, enhance global competitiveness, and position San Diego effectively for investment and talent.
UC San Diego Center for U.S. – Mexican Studies
The Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies (USMEX), based at the UC San Diego School of Global Policy and Strategy, studies the issues affecting economic, social and political relations between Mexico and the U.S. USMEX is a go-to source for cutting-edge academic research that can be applied to the creation, implementation and evaluation of public policy. USMEX provides a forum for thought leaders to engage in public dialogue and supports training for a vibrant community of innovative scholars and practitioners.
UC San Diego Design Lab
The Design Lab at UC San Diego is an anchor institution within the San Diego-Tijuana region that pairs design education and research with community needs to create positive and impactful real-world solutions and design-driven innovations.
UC San Diego Urban Studies and Planning
UC San Diego’s Department of Urban Studies and Planning is an undergraduate community of students with diverse interests and goals. The department provides students with a variety of approaches and tools to understand the development, character, and culture of cities and communities. USP draws from the social sciences, arts and humanities, physical and life sciences, management and information sciences.
